Community Engagement

We provide many opportunities for families to be involved in the life of our centre and to come together as a community. This can be informally by spending some extra time at drop-off or pick-up times playing with your child; by attending and participating in working bees, community events and celebrations. It could also be through attending parenting sessions, workshops or playgroups (including sessions offered out of business hours), or more formally by being a part of our Management Committee.

Community Development Co-ordinator

The role of the Community Development Co-ordinator (CDC) is to support parents and carers to build on their knowledge and skills in their parenting role, and to connect them to a range of services within our Centre and the wider community.

Our CDC develops relationships with families and children in a safe and responsive way, promotes local information, and encourages families to access & participate in programs, information sessions, parent forums and community events.

Some of the parent sessions and groups that we run during the year include:

- First Aid for Mums & Dads

- supporting your child with toilet learning

- supporting children's language development in a bilingual home

- playgroups

- Circle of Security Parenting program

Please contact us for more information about the range of community development activities at our centre.
